Grand Canyon

Artist: William Howley, Acrylic, 39"x24", sold to Joseph Cavillini

My favorite part about this painting is the how the distant sky seemlessly transitions into the far canyon and moves up in relative layers to the front. This was a breakthrough for me, and when it was finished It was exciting to have accomplished that effect. The closest mountain and water can use some work, but not everything can be successful immediately.
