Liston Family

This is probably the 6th painting I made, and it is still one of my favorites. I struggled for months on the water, but eventually it came out, and I learned a lot. The sky almost contradicts itself with the purples and yellows yet somehow it works perfectly. Now that I have more experience I would probably never have used those colors, but now that I am looking back on it I am glad I did. The boat in the water represents the Liston family on an adventure, and is symbolic of them traveling together in one direction.
